Summary of Job:
ZipRecruiter is seeking an experienced, highly motivated individual to lead research execution and insight generation for the Employer (B2B) audience on a growing Market Research team. This role will primarily support stakeholders on Small, Medium, and Enterprise business initiatives.
Market Research at ZipRecruiter is part of the Product organization and works hand-in-hand with Product Marketing to directly inform and influence business and product strategy.
You enjoy employing various quantitative and qualitative research methods to identify unmet customer needs, investigate new markets/products/services that would serve these needs, and bring your insights to life in collaboration with your key stakeholders. Your role is to serve not just as an expert in research but also to be a key business partner that drives actionable insights that are clearly communicated and will inform strategic decision-making and investment.
Be the internal expert on Employer insights ranging from needs, challenges and goals to brand perceptions - and the way in which those insights can inform Product and Marketing initiatives.
Build out holistic understanding of the unmet needs across Employer segments by synthesizing quantitative and qualitative research that translate to solutions that the product and UX teams can leverage to build products that delight.
Lead the project management, execution, quality control, and deliverable production of the business-critical Employer (B2B) brand health tracking program.
Synthesize findings across a variety of resources (custom research, UXR research, competitive intelligence, market dynamics, and more) to build out holistic, data-agnostic insight themes.
Evangelize research insights across a variety of stakeholders and senior leadership.
Effectively communicate research findings in easy-to-understand, actionable language - both written and verbal.
Inform and influence business decisions by supporting ad hoc research requests, sourced from the brand health tracker or other custom, syndicated, or publicly-available data.
Own the relationship with our research partner(s) to ensure timely, accurate, and smooth execution of data collection and tabulation. Perform quality check audits on data sets coming from vendor partners.
A Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, anthropology, market research or related field. Graduate degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in B2B market research, with expertise in qualitative research, marketplace evaluation and assessment, brand tracking programs, and analysis planning, with a strong background in quantitative research as well
Experience with HR tech and/or Ad tech.
Experience with SPSS, R, or similar statistical package(s), including running inferential analyses (correlations, multiple regression, driver analysis, factor analysis).
Ability to execute "DIY" research - discussion guide generation, survey programming, sample management, data tabulation, and report generation - independently.
Experience working qualitative and quantitative research platforms.
Experience influencing decisions in complex, matrixed organizations.
Corporate-side and/or vendor-side research experience.
Familiarity with SaaS products and Marketplaces.
