The Marketing team has the awesome responsibility of not only defining and positioning Aurora in the public eye, but of also being on the cutting edge of introducing self-driving vehicles to the world. We develop strategies to raise awareness, increase acceptance and drive adoption of this life-saving technology. We are looking for a Sr. Director of Product Marketing to join our Marketing team. As a Sr. Director of Product Marketing you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and scaling our overall product and services marketing strategy.

You will lead the team of marketers responsible for the messaging, packaging, and delivery of our revolutionary autonomous driving products to market. You will work closely with company leaders and our product team to define new markets and the hardware and software products needed to win, leveraging customer and market research. This position can be hired at a Vice President level based on experience and background.

In this role, you will

  • Lead and manage our team of product marketers to ensure the value and potential of Aurora's product is compelling, clear, and resonates with our core audiences.

  • Lead market analysis and competitive benchmarking to inform strategy and keep the company up-to-date on industry trends and competition.

  • Partner closely and work effectively across multiple functions including Business Development, Partner, Product and Engineerings teams, as well as Marketing and Communications to surface insights, leverage research, and build a cohesive and comprehensive marketing strategy.

  • Drive the strategy (including messaging and positioning) and operational programs that create excitement, interest, and understanding of Aurora's products.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience

  • 10+ years of experience with Product Marketing or Product Development

  • Experience with determining product-market fit and delivering products to market

  • Experience with internal product messaging, external product positioning, customer and market research, insights generation, salient points of proof and customer success stories

  • A highly analytical approach

  • Ability to lead and communicate cross-functionally with engineering and other departments

  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Team player

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable Qualifications 

  • SaaS software product marketing experience

  • Proven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing business relationships and communicating effectively with senior management

  • Leadership experience
